NewFest 2k17 CHAMPIONS !

            An Inter-Department Talent Hunt Program organized by Students Union Shift – 1 held on 21^st March 2017. Our Students put up a solid effort and brought home the first ever Janab A. Mohamed Ashraf Saheb Overall Rolling Trophy.

An Introduction

To establish a social platform for the PG & Research Department of Commerce, this blog was created on 6.03.2015 , Inspired by the staff of our Department. The blog was started by a team of Final year B.Com students; Luqman, Mustaqeem and Adnan . The admins of the group have been working day and night to keep the blog updated with all the activities relating to the department.We hope this blog helps the students in every possible way. The blog admins would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our Beloved Prof. N.O. Ameen without whom this wouldn't have been possible !
We would also like to thank the Commerce Family for their continued support and encouragement.

Overall Runners up (Annual Sports Day Report)

The Annual Sports Day of The New College has come to an end . B.com CS are the newly crowned Champions . Despite our best efforts B.com General finished Second .

The Following list contains the achievements of our students with regard to the Annual Sports Day 2017.

Athletic Events.

Imran N. of  Second B.com won 3rd place in Long Jump.

Imran N. of Second B.com won 2nd Place in Triple Jump.

Muhammed Rafi C.M of First b.com won 2nd Place in Discus Throw.

Sulaiman , Mansoor , Imran  of Second B.com and Irfan of First B.com came 3rd in the 2x400 mts Relay Race.

Weight Lifting.

Abrar Ahmed of Second B.com secured 2nd Place in 77kg & above Category.

Indoor Events.

Mohammed Junath A of Second B.com won 2nd Place in Carrom.
Mohammed Mansoor H of  First M.com won 2nd Place in Chess.

Mohamed Saad of Third B.com won 1st place in Badminton.
Kurshithur Rahman H of First M.com won 3rd place in Badminton.

Mohamed Saad of Third B.com won 1st place in Table Tennis.

Avoor Mohamed Imaaz of Third B.com won 2nd place in Table Tennis.

Best Player Awards.

Asan Bilal S of Second B.com won the Best Player Award in Volleyball.

M.F. Usman Ali Mohamed of First M.com won the Best Player Award in Football.

The Deciding Moment (Sports Day)

Less than 24 hours to go for the annual sports day to commence. There's high tension among the department regarding the points.After having led the charts for a long period of time there is still a close competition between B.com and B.com CS. Though B.com CS have the lead, Our department can still win the Overall title by clinching the final athletic events and march past tomorrow. 

In the next 15 hours The New College will have a new overall champion .

Will our Department produce a dramatic comeback

or get home with Runners up title ..

Let's hope for the best.

New Face of The Commerce Department ?

This logo was created on 05.03.2017 . Designed by a team of final year students of the Commerce department. Mustaqeem Ahmed P laid the foundation. He was assisted by the French Secretary, Adnan Jaweed . The motto was composed by Mohammed Luqman and Shahzeb Husain . Intially the motto was Learn. Lead. Exceed. But for various reasons it was changed to Commit. Compete. Conquer.
The response from the Professors was highly positive. In a week's time this logo may turn out to be the face of the PG & Research Department Of Commerce of The New College.
