 ACHIEVERS CLUB OF THE NEW COLLEGE JOINTLY WITH VARIOUS ASSOCIATIONS OF THE NEW COLLEG AND NEWS7 TAMIL PROVIDED FLOOD RELIEF TO THE DISTRESSED PEOPLE OF THOOTHUKUDI DISTRICT. RELIEF WAS DISPATCHED FROM THE COLLEGE ON 23TH DECEMBER 2023 WHICH REACHED TO THE PEOPLE THE NEXT DAY

Online Poster Making Competition

 Achievers Club of The New College conducted an Online POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON THE OBSERVATION OF NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY to create an awareness amongst students about conserving energy.

STALL AT NEWPHORIA

 ACHIEVERS CLUB HAD PLACED A STALL ON BEHALF OF NEW COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION AT THE NEWPHORIA ON 2ND DECEMBER 2023 AT THE COLLEGE PREMISES. THIS INITIATIVE HAVE HELPED THE STUDENTS TO INCULCATE ENTREPRENEUTIAL SKILLS AMONG STUDENTS AT THE SAME TIME TO RAISE FUNDS FOR A CHARITABLE CAUSE.

TAMILNADU STATE ASSEMBLY VISIT

ACHIEVERS CLUB WITH PG & RESEARCH DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE,THE NEW COLLEGE VISITED THE STATE ASSEMBLY HELD AT FORT ST.GEORGE ON 11TH OCTOBER 2023. AROUND 50 STUDENTS WITH THEIR FACULTY CO-ORDINATORS WINESSED THE ASSEMBLY WHICH INSTILLED THE ESSENCE OF DEMOCRACY AMONGST THEM

 

INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO KANNAN DEVAN TEA ESTATE

 PG & RESEARCH DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE ARRANGED AN INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO KANNAN DEVAN TEA ESTATE, MUNNAR FOR III B.COM STUDENTS WITH THEIR FACULTY CO-ORDINATORS ON 26TH SEPTEMBER 2023 . STUDENTS HAD UTILIZED THE OPPORTUNITY IN EXPLORING THE TEA ESTATES AND THE PROCESSING UNITS.

 COMIX 2K23 RELOADED

The Achievers Club and Department of Commerce conducted an inter department cultural event "COMIX 2K23 RELOADED" on 20/09/2023. 

B.Com General SF bagged the Overall Winner Trophy and B.Sc Computer Science bagged the Runner up title 

ONE DAY INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO ADANI PORT

 PG & RESEARCH DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE ORGANISED ONE DAY INDUSTRIAL VISIT TO ADANI PORT SITUATED AT KATTUPALLI,THIRUVALLUR DISTRICT. MORE THAN 50 STUDENTS ALONG WITH FACULTIES FROM VARIOUS COURSES  HAD VISITED THE PORT WHICH GAVE THE EXPOSURE TO TECHNOLOGIES EMPLOYED IN MANAGING THE CARGO FREIGHT AND MODERN DAY LOGISTICS SYSTEM.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

The Achievers Club observed Teachers Day on 5th September 2023 by giving Personalized Gratitude Cards and Eco Friendly Stationery to the Faculties of the Department of Commerce, Shift I. 

Indeed, we are happy by looking at the smiles on their faces and grateful to the Almighty for having mentors like them.

The Achievers Club, PG & Research Department of Commerce, The New College observed Anti Ragging Week from August 12 to August18 at the campus by a display of Human Formation against Ragging, followed by taking a pledge against the evil act- Ragging

Achievers Club celebrated the 76th Independence Day with school students at May Day park by conducting a few competitions among them and rewarded the Winners.

It was a good experience through which we are able to inculcate Patriotism among these students who are the pillars of this nation, India.

World Chess Day

 SPEED CHESS COMPETITION CONDUCTED ON WORLD CHESS DAY

The Achievers Club of The New College conducted Intra Department Speed Chess Competition to commemorate   World Chess Day on 20th July 2023. Glad to inform that more than 50 students had participated in the competition which created a curiosity of playing chess amongst students.

Our event has also been featured in The Hindu Downtown Newspaper on 30th July 2023

WORLD CONSERVATION DAY

The Achievers Club of The New College observed World Conservation Day by displaying placards which contained Quotes and Qur'anic verses related to the topic and planted a few saplings in the campus to conserve our Home Planet, Earth.

INAUGURATION OF ACHIEVERS CLUB FOR THE YEAR 2023-24

 ACHIEVERS CLUB WAS INAUGURATED FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24 ON 17TH JULY 2023 IN THE PRESENCE OF PRINCIPAL DR.M. ASRAR SHERIFF AND VICE PRINCIPAL ACADEMICS, PROFESSOR K.S.MD. AKMAL. THE OFFICE BEARERS WERE GIVEN THEIR BADGES ALONG WITH THE CERTIFICATE OF APPOINTMENT.

T.Md.Dawood Khan Memorial Rolling Trophy 2022-23

  PG & Research Department of Commerce organised T.Md.Dawood Khan Memorial Rolling Trophy on Sunday 08/01/2023 between 8.00 a.m to 3.00 p.m. The event was inaugurated by Dr.S.Tameem Sharief sir and Dr.J.Sulaiman sir. Totally Six sporting events were conducted which included 1. Football

6. Table Tennis
By the grace of almighty the event was successfully conducted and we thank The Principal, Vice Principal administration and Vice Principal Academic, our Head of the Department, all the staff members of our Commerce Department and finally the students who made this event a memorable one.
