World Conservation Day 2024 - A Commitment to Our Plane

On July 29th, 2024, the PG & Research Department of Commerce at The New College marked World Conservation Day with an event that resonated with the pressing need for environmental stewardship. Organized by the Achievers Club, the event emphasized the importance of conserving our planet, Earth, and inspired the college community to take active steps towards a sustainable future.

The event began with a poignant display of placards across the campus. These placards featured thought-provoking quotes and Qur'anic verses that highlighted the significance of environmental conservation and the responsibility of every individual to protect the natural world. The messages were carefully chosen to resonate with the audience, encouraging them to reflect on their role in preserving the environment.

In a symbolic and impactful gesture, members of the Achievers Club also planted saplings within the college campus. This act not only contributed to the greening of the college grounds but also served as a powerful reminder of the need to nurture and protect our natural resources. Each sapling represented a step towards a healthier planet and a commitment to ensuring a greener future for generations to come.

World Conservation Day at The New College was more than just an event; it was a call to action. It reminded the students and faculty of their collective responsibility to safeguard the environment and to make meaningful contributions toward conserving the planet. The activities carried out on this day underscored the ethos of The New College, where academic excellence is coupled with a deep sense of social and environmental responsibility.

This event was a testament to the college's dedication to fostering a culture of conservation and environmental awareness among its students.
